Welcome
Welcome to the Prostate Cancer Queensland website.

Each year the lives of thousands of Queensland men and their families are changed by a diagnosis of prostate cancer.
|

Each year, about 2900 Queensland men are diagnosed with prostate cancer and more than 570 Queensland men will die from the disease.

Over the past decade, The Cancer Council Queensland has developed a strong stream of activities in support of prostate cancer, and in 2006 invested in excess of $1 million into prostate cancer research, education and support.

As a culmination of these activities, The Cancer Council Queensland launched Prostate Cancer Queensland in March 2007. Prostate Cancer Queensland will fund vital prostate cancer research, provide education and support programs for men diagnosed with prostate cancer, their families and the health professionals who care for them.

The Cancer Council Queensland is leading the fight against prostate cancer in Queensland. Without government funding we rely on community and corporate support to continue this work.

Your support and that of many other caring Queenslanders means we can keep pace with the growing demand for our research and support programs, and for this we are grateful.
